Two suspects aged 22 and 36 respectively are behind bars following their arrest on Sunday, 13 March 2022.

The duo were found in possession of suspected stolen property which were reported stolen from four different residences in Prieska.

It is alleged that the duo went on a rampage and broke into houses in Prieska and stole various items from residences.

Members of Prieska visible police acted swiftly subsequent to receiving a tip-off regarding the two who were in possession of the stolen goods. The police caught the suspects red-handed in possession of electric appliances, computers, clothing, groceries, cigarettes, and liquor which were reported stolen by four complainants.

The complainants were alerted and they positively identified their property. The suspects are expected to appear in the Prieska Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 16 March 2022 on a charge of burglary.
