Five in court for selling rhino horns

Pretoria – Five men, who were arrested for the possession of rhino horns in Secunda, Mpumalanga, will appear before the Carolina Magistrate’s Court, on Wednesday.

The Hawks arrested the five, aged between 26 and 42 years, on Tuesday, after a tip-off of them selling rhino horns.

An operation was set-up to catch them in the act, Hawks spokesperson Major Robert Netshiunda said.

“The five were nabbed soon after they agreed on a deal with an undercover cop along the R541 route.”
