FREE STATE – Police foiled a planned robbery working together with private security and arrested five suspects from Vereeniging, Warden and Reitz.

It is alleged that on Thursday, 6 October 2022, Reitz police received an intelligence led information about a planned robbery at a farm.

En-route to the farm police came across the suspicious blue Mazda sedan with MP registrations having five occupants inside. Members stopped, searched the vehicle and found housebreaking implements and seized them. All five males were detained.

The five suspects aged between 25 and 30 years, will appear before the Reitz Magistrate court facing charge of possession of housebreaking implements.
