Gauteng to launch the UITP-TAG regional training centre
The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport in partnership with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) will today, 25 October 2022, launch the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) -Transport Authority of Gauteng (TAG) Regional Training Centre in Johannesburg.

In September 2022, TAG signed a Memorandum of Agreement with UITP to establish the UITP – TAG Africa Regional Training Centre, which will serve Gauteng, South Africa, and the African continent.

The centre is the first of its kind in Africa, based at the offices of the TAG.

TAG is looking forward to benefitting from the presence of UITP in Gauteng and to create an epicentre of excellence in public transport in the Province.
