Keimoes SAPS pounce on two drug dealers

The relentless efforts of members of Keimoes Visible Policing to remove drugs from the streets, paid off after they arrested two males for dealing in drugs on 11 June 2021 in Lennertsville in Keimoes.

On 11 June 2021 at approximately 14:00 Sgt George Dreyer and Constables Vuyo Nxusani and Martin Khahle were conducting patrols when they received information about drug dealers in Lennertsville. The members followed up on the information which led them to a house in Khayalitsha Street. They searched the house and found 337 whole mandrax tablets, 272 quarter tablets and 3,678kg of dagga on the premises. The estimated street value of the mandrax is R24 500-00 and the dagga R5000-00.

The two males aged 31 and 24 years found in the house were arrested and charged for dealing in drugs and will soon appear in the Keimoes Magistrates court.

The Acting District Commander of ZF Mgcawu District, Brig Johnny Besnaar commended the members for their continued efforts to rid society from drugs and squeezing the space for drug dealers to operate.
