Man arrested for dealing in dagga

NORTHERN CAPE – Off duty members of ZF Mgcawu Highway Patrol received information about dagga being transported in Upington. They activated the on duty Task Team and the members located the vehicle in Paballelo. They searched the said vehicle and only found traces of dagga.

The members continued to search the residence of the driver and they found compressed dagga to the estimated value of R510 000-00.

The 33-year-old man has been arrested and detained in cells on a charge of dealing in dagga. He is expected to appear in court soon.

The Acting District Commissioner of ZF Mgcawu District Colonel Peet Coetzee commended the members for a swift response and securing this arrest.
