Mpumalanga police management sends its condolences to the Hlathi family as they mourn the passing of Brigadier Hlathi’s wife

NELSPRUIT – The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela and her management send their heartfelt condolences to the Hlathi family. This comes after the sad news of the passing of Brigadier Leonard Hlathi’s wife, Maleke Elizabeth Hlathi, on Saturday, 31 July 2021.

Mrs Maleke Elizabeth Hlathi is said to have sadly departed at the age of 58 and she leaves behind her husband, four daughters, one son and two granddaughters, two brothers and four sisters. She was a Principal at Mhluzi Primary School at the time of her untimely death and had worked for the Department of Education for 41 years.

Lieutenant General Manamela indicated that the SAPS will give the family unconditional support during this very difficult time. “May the bereaved family find comfort in God and know that they are in our thoughts and prayers, and that we will fully support them. We know that as a wife and mother, she was a pillar to her husband, Brigadier Hlathi and their children. She will be greatly missed. May her soul rest in peace,” said General Manamela.
