News: Two suspects arrested for house robbery

BOTHAVILLE – In the early hours of today at about 03:00 the complainant was sleeping at his home with his son at Naledi Section when the suspect pointed him with a firearm and tied his hands. The suspect allegedly took the complainant’s vehicle, a red Chevrolet and ransacked the house and loaded an LG Plasma Tv, welding machine, blankets, clothes and shoes and drove off.

The suspect was spotted by the complainant’s neighbour who was following him on the R30 road loading stolen items together with his accomplice in a white Datsun bakkie before driving off. The police were informed and the suspects’ bakkie overturned whilst driving away and they ran to the fields where farmers together with the police gave chase and arrested the two suspects aged 27 and 39.

They will appear in court soon on a charge of house robbery.
