Operational successes in the Joe Gqabi District

JOE GQABI DISTRICT – Stations in the District continued with crime prevention operations and monitoring compliance to the Disaster Management Act.
Resulting in the following successes:
ALIWAL NORTH: An intelligence driven operation between the Detectives and Crime Intelligence led to the arrest of a suspect for burglary business and recovery of a Samsung TV to the value of R6000-00 that was stolen at tourism office.
BARKLY EAST MOUNTED UNIT: Today the unit patrolled at Indwe and followed up positive information of a suspects that sells drugs at Old location Indwe. A 34-year-old suspect was arrested and 21 boss mandrax tablets in different sizes as well as 2 small bankies containing tik was confiscated.
MACLEAR: Members of Crime Prevention while busy with patrols, closed down a shop for the illegal selling of liqour.
The stations continued with operations including high visibility blue light patrols, monitoring of taverns and also funerals to ensure the regulations of the Disaster Management Act is adhere to.
The acting District Commissioner Brigadier Rudulph Adolph commended the members on the operations and successes. “Our high visibility during the operations has a very positive impact on crime prevention. Keep up with the good work, “he added.
