WESTERN CAPE – Police members attached to the Infrastructure Task Team were busy with an operation in Wolseley on Tuesday, 27 September 2022 when they followed up on information about a vehicle used to transport drugs. Whilst they were busy with patrols near to the R43 highway between Tulbagh and Wolsely, they spotted the vehicle that fitted the description and stop and searched the vehicle and the occupants.

They confiscated drugs and a firearm with ammunition. Three males aged between 28 and 36 were arrested and detained on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and possession of drugs.

Once charged they are expected to appear in the Wolseley Magistrate’s Court on the mentioned charges.
