Police Investigate Stock Theft After Cow Slaughtered in Morebeng

POLOKWANE — Police detectives from the Stock Theft Unit in Polokwane are currently investigating a stock theft incident in Morebeng, Capricorn District, where a cow valued at approximately R15,000 was illegally slaughtered. The theft occurred between the afternoon of October 12, 2024, and the early morning of October 13, 2024.

According to South African Police Service, the complainant discovered the crime while patrolling the kraal on the morning of October 13. He found that one of the cattle had been killed, with only the intestines left behind at the scene. This incident was subsequently reported at the Morebeng police station, where a formal case of stock theft was registered.

The authorities are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects involved to contact Investigating Officer Constable Rarang Rasekele at 082 565 8135 or use the crime stop number 08600 10111. Information can also be shared anonymously through the MySAPSApp or by contacting the nearest police station.
