Police launch search operation for missing woman

LIMPOPO – The South African Police Service in Polokwane are investigating a case of missing person after the disappearance of a 20-year-old woman, Lydia Makataka Mochitele, residing at Bendor Suburb on the outskirts of the City of Polokwane.

She is reportedly mentally disabled and went missing while at Polokwane Provincial Hospital after she was admitted for medical examination on Saturday, 19 June 2021.

This morning, 20 June 2021, the medical personnel discovered that the victim was not in her ward and has since disappeared. The security guards searched for her on the premises but they could not locate her. She was wearing grey tracksuits and a grey nightgown.

Police have commenced with investigation and search operations.
