Police reach out to the community through a crime awarness campaign in support of Human Rights Month

NORTHAM – A Human Right’s Month awareness campaign was conducted by the South African Police Service in Northam on Friday, 25 March 2022.

The event was hosted at Northam TLC Centre and in attendance were the officials from the Department of Health, Khulisa Social Solutions (NGO), Loago Youth Development, Ward Councillor, Local Pastors and Community Policing Forum (CPF).

Social Crime Prevention Coordinator, Sergeant Madisa and Khulisa Official, Mr Graig engaged the community about the following issues:

• Bill of Rights.

• Children’s Rights.

• Limitation Clause Section 36 of Constitution Act.

• Gender-based violence (GBV).

• Negative impact of having a criminal record.
