Pre-Easter celebration & Resurrection Service

ZWELITSHA – The SAPS Provincial Office in Zwelitsha hosted a Pre-Easter Resurrection Service on Monday, 11 April 2022, under the theme “There is power in the cross”. The Pre-Easter service was held for members who are unable to attend their respective church services over the Easter weekend due to their commitment of ensuring that all people in the Eastern Cape Province are safe and feel safe during this festive period.

Multi-disciplinary focused driven operations will be conducted on a 24-hour basis across the Province during Holy Week and the Easter weekend. The Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen NL Mene encouraged and reminded members that peace and hope must be maintained during this weekend and that members must return revitalized.

Instilling hope and faith in the members present, Lt Gen Mene reminded them that “SIKHONA” which means ‘we are here’ to serve our communities as part of the Provincial Commissioner’s five-year strategic plan, dubbed Operation Sikhona.

In wishing all members a Happy Easter, Lt Gen Mene said, “As we enjoy our Easter celebration, may the glorious light of the God’s goodness and love shine forth from our province and the entire South Africa, our fatherland.”

Seven preachers delivered their messages from scripture readings focussing on the Passover and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Members uplifted and gave glory to the Lord in praise and worship.

The SAPS management wishes all SAPS members and PSA personnel a safe, blessed and a happy Easter.
