SAPS Villieria members recover two unlicensed firearms, ammunition and breaking implements

GAUTENG – Members of SAPS Villieria arrested three suspects in East Lynn on Tuesday, 19 April 2022 for possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition and breaking implements.

The SAPS members were reportedly out on a routine crime prevention patrol when they detected a suspicious looking vehicle in the area of East Lynn.

The vehicle with three occupants was intercepted and a search was conducted which resulted in the recovery of two unlicensed firearms, ammunition and breaking implements. The three suspects were subsequently arrested.

The firearms will be subjected to ballistic tests to determine whether it may be linked to other serious crime committed.
