South Sudan Faces Hunger With Little Hope For Peace

Two million people have been forced out of their homes since the South Sudan conflict began in December 2013. Today, an estimated 2.5 million women, children and men are facing acute hunger, unsure of where their next meal is coming from. Without an end to the conflict in sight, WFP fears that food insecurity will only get worse as we move into the lean season. WFP’s Executive Director Ertharin Cousin visited the conflict-hit country.
