Lenasia: Two armed suspects were fatally wounded and others sustained injuries during a shootout with police in Lenasia.
According to South African Police Service, this incident occurred as part of a Crime Intelligence-led operation, in collaboration with other multi-disciplinary forces. The suspects were allegedly involved in several ATM bombings and other serious crimes in Gauteng and neighboring provinces.
Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection, Lt General Shadrack Sibiya, along with other senior officers from the South African Police Service, are currently at the scene. They are expected to address the media with any updates on the incident.
