Special Investigating Unit celebrates 25 years of striking against corruption, 14 Jul

The year 2022 marks exactly 25 years since the establishment of the Special Investigating Unit (SIU). To mark this milestone, members of the media are invited to join the celebration of the State’s only anti-corruption, forensic investigation and litigation agency, and the unveiling of SIU’s new corporate identity.

The celebration event will be organised under the theme: Celebrating 25 years of striking against corruption in South Africa. The SIU was established in 1997 following the signing of Proclamation R24 of 1997 by President Nelson Mandela, to investigate allegations of corruption, malfeasance, malpractice and maladministration relating to State institutions, State assets, public money; and any conduct that may seriously harm the interests of the State.
