KWAZULU-NATAL – On Tuesday, 07 February 2023, the Hawks members from Richards Bay Serious Organised Crime Investigation arrested a 35-year-old suspect for dealing in dagga at Pongola area.

Members received information about a suspect who was dealing in dagga in the area. An undercover operation was conducted and yesterday, members proceeded to the said place. Upon arrival, a search was conducted and the suspect was found in possession of dagga to the street value of approximately R16 500-00. He was subsequently arrested and charged for dealing in dagga.

During the arrest members seized a double cab that was used to deliver dagga and R790-00 cash suspected to be the proceeds of crime. He is expected to appear in the Pongola Magistrate’s Court today.
