GAUTENG – Members of SAPS Soshanguve swiftly acted on a community tip-off and recovered an abandoned vehicle with false number plates near Soshanguve Crossing Mall on Tuesday, 29 March 2022.

A community member noticed two unknown males busy exchanging number plates on a vehicle near Soshanguve Crossing Mall and alerted the police. Within minutes the SAPS members arrived at the identified location, where after the two unknown males fled and abandoned the vehicle.

Upon further investigation it was established that the number plates do not correspond with the abandoned vehicle and may possibly be linked to a series of crimes committed in the area.

Further investigation is underway.
