Tubatse police urge the public to assist in identifying the body of a man found in local river

POLOKWANE – The Police in Tubatse are investigating a case of inquest following the retrieval of the body of male person that was found floating in Tubatse river under Sekhukhune District on Wednesday, 14 December 2022 at about 10:00.
Police attended to a complaint of a possible drowning incident after receiving information and upon arrival at the scene, they found an unknown African male believed to be in his thirties, floating in the river.
The members of the Provincial Search and Rescue Team and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned to the scene and managed to retrieve the body that was already in an advanced state of decomposition.
The deceased is currently unknown and was taken to a Forensic Pathology facility to determine the cause of death.
