Woman arrested for allegedly killing boyfriend

NORTHERN CAPE – The police in Victoria West are investigating a case of murder following the death of a 38-year-old man.
It is alleged that on 26 June 2020 at about 19:45, the victim was embroiled in an argument with his girlfriend who then took a sharp object and stabbed him on the chest. The victim was declared dead on the scene.
The 26-yesr-old woman was arrested and is expected to appear before court soon on charges of murder.
Meanwhile, the police in Roodepan are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 19-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his friend on the neck.
It is alleged that both boys, aged 19 years, had an argument which led to one stabbing the other. The victim is currently in hospital and the suspect was arrested for attempted murder.
The Police Management in the Northern Cape urges communities to always look for amicable solutions to resolve their disputes instead of resorting to violence. Violence is not the answer and can only lead to deaths and impairments of the society.
Police investigations continue on both cases.
