Woman to appear in Oudtshoorn court for Mandrax and stolen IT equipment

WESTERN CAPE – Concerted efforts by vigilant members attached to Dysselsdorp SAPS resulted in the arrests of a 46-year-old woman after an amount of 1030 Mandrax tablets to the estimated value of R61 800-00, destined for local distribution as well as suspected stolen IT property were found at her home.

Yesterday members acted on information received, obtained a search warrant and pounced on a residence situated at Heinz View C-block, in the hotspot area of Bokkraal, Dysselsdorp. With the search that ensued, members found 1030 Mandrax tablets concealed in a plastic wrap inside the house. Subsequent to the find, members who were assisted by the Neighbourhood watch members, arrested the suspect on the spot.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in the Oudtshoorn Magistrates’ court on Monday, 14 June 2021 on charges of possession of illegal drugs as well as possession of suspected stolen goods.
