Police members of the Maitland Flying Squad were busy with patrols on Friday (2022-06-03) when they received information pertaining a vehicle involved in a business robbery in Mowbray.<\/p>\n
When the vehicle was spotted in Stikland, a high speed chase ensued.The members requested back-up whilst the chase proceeded onto the R300 highway, trying to bring the vehicle to a standstill. The police members came under fire from the suspects, upon which they returned fire, fatally wounding one suspect. When the vehicle came to a halt, they arrested three males, aged 37, on charges of business robbery, attempted murder, reckless and negligent driving, possession of stolen property and possession of an unlicensed firearm.<\/p>\n
Once charged the suspects are expected to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate court on the mentioned charges<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
