{"id":49848,"date":"2022-08-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southafricatribune.com\/?guid=0e7af31f3f09879b3055114a6dea6153"},"modified":"2022-08-10T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-08-10T00:00:00","slug":"police-murderer-remanded-in-custody-for-more-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatribune.com\/police-murderer-remanded-in-custody-for-more-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Police murderer remanded in custody for more information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>MPUMALANGA &#8211; The Provincial Head of The Directorate For Priority Crime Investigation Major General Zodwa Mokoena confirmed that the case of the late police officer, Sgt Mandlenkosi Happy Thwala, aged (45) who was brutally murdered during the night of Tuesday, 02 August 2022 in Gedlembane, Pienaar is with the Hawks Mpumalanga.<\/P><P>She also confirmed that a 28-year-old suspect, Zanele Mkhonto was arrested and appeared before the KaNyamazane Magistrate court on Wednesday, 10 August 2022. She was remanded in custody and the case will be transferred to Kabokweni Magistrate court until 12 August 2022 for Legal Aid and bail application.<\/P><P>Major General Mokoena called upon all community members to work together with police by sharing information that might assist during the investigation by calling the investigating officer Warrant Officer Albert De Lange on 0714812815.
